Tenvir-AF Tablet is primarily used to manage chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection. This medication falls under the class of medicines known as nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NtRTIs).
In addition to managing HBV and HIV-1 infections, this medicine also finds use in adults with compensated liver disease. It is used alongside other antiretroviral agents for managing HIV-1 infection in adults and children who weigh at least 25 kg.
