Description
Ibrunat Capsule is used in the treatment of mantle-cell lymphoma and blood cancer (chronic lymphocytic leukemia). It is also used in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia who have received at least one prior therapy.
Ibrunat Capsule is taken in a dose as advised by the doctor. The duration of treatment varies on the basis of your response to treatment. Your doctor may get regular blood tests to check number of blood cells during treatment with this medicine. It is known to reduce the number of blood cells in your blood thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. It may cause headache, diarrhea, and nausea as its side effects.
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a slow-growing blood cancer in which the bone marrow makes abnormal white blood cells that crowd out healthy cells and weaken the immune system. Ibrunat Capsule helps block signals that cancer cells need to grow and multiply, slowing disease progression and supporting healthier blood cell balance. This helps manage symptoms, maintain immune function, and improve quality of life.
Ibrunat Capsule is a Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.
Ibrunat Capsule is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks.
Ibrunat Capsule should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body.
