Celginase 10000IU Injection is used in the treatment of some kinds of cancer of white blood cells (leukemia). It may also be used to treat other types of cancer as determined by your doctor. It may be used on its own, or sometimes given together with certain other medicines as part of combination chemotherapy.
Celginase 10000Iu Injection, a chemotherapy drug, is used to treat acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. It also treats several other blood disorders. It works by breaking down a chemical in cancer cells which stops the cancer cells from growing and dividing. This medicine is given as an injection into a vein or as an injection under the skin.
Some common side effects of this medicine are fever, chills, nausea and vomiting, allergic reactions, poor appetite, stomach cramps, excessive sleepiness, hallucinations, depression, agitation, disorientation or seizure.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking and whether you are pregnant or not. Do not breast feed while taking this medication. People with a history of pancreatitis and hypersensitivity to this drug should not take it. Do not receive any kind of vaccination without your doctor’s approval while taking this medicine.
