It treats mild to moderate COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease) in people at risk for developing severe illness. COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The most common symptoms are dry cough, fever, and fatigue. Other symptoms such as nasal congestion, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, or sore throat can also occur.
People aged sixty years and over with diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, heart and lung problems, or obesity are at greater risk of developing serious illnesses from COVID-19.
